More, More College Commitments (5-16-12)
WVA would like to congratulate two members of the 18-White team and two on the 18-Black team on their choices for school this upcoming fall.
Leah Hendricks (West DePere, 2012) has decided to head to the Milwaukee School of Engineering this upcoming fall. Leah chose MSOE over Michigan Tech to be a little closer to home and make road trips for volleyball a ton shorter. Leah returned to WVA this season after playing here in her 15s season. We are very excited for her and the great education she is going to receive!!
Shaina Carlson (Menasha, 2012) has decided to attend Lakeland College in Sheboygan and play for first year coach Kim Bukowski who spent last season at the University of South Dakota as an assistant to former WVA director Matt Houk. This season has been Shaina's first with WVA and we have been very happy to have her as part of our club.
Megan Waas (Mayville, 2012) has chosen UW-Oshkosh to continue her education and volleyball career this fall. Megan will join a growing number WVA athletes to head to UWO after finishing their WVA experiences. This past summer Megan was a member of the Badger Region National Youth team that finished 4th at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in Tucson, AZ.
Tayler Hegg (Appleton West, 2012) has committed to Saint Leo University (FL) for the upcoming season. Previously, Tayler had chosen Lees McRae University (NC) but made a switch when the LMU coach left the program for another opportunity. Saint Leo is an NCAA DII institution that competes in the Sunshine State Conference. Tayler will be joining a WVA teammate in the conference as Kelie Reimer (Fond du Lac, 2012) will be a member of the Eckerd College (FL) team this fall as well!
Congrats to all of these ladies and good luck on the court!!
