EBLI VERBALS TO BRYANT UNIVERSITY
17-Rox team member Marisa Ebli announced this week that she will be attending Bryant University (Smithfield, RI) to continue her education and volleyball career in the fall of 2011. The 6'2" opposite from Ashwaubenon will be a great addition to a very competitive Bulldog volleyball program. Keep an eye out for the official press release once it is made available. Congrats to Mo and her family!
WVA ATHLETES REPRESENT CLUB AT USA HIGH PERFORMANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The club had a strong representation from athletes at the recently held USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in Wisconsin Dells. Click here for an article on the USA Volleyball website. Club representatives on the select region teams included Eric Harke (Kimberly), Noah Mader (Appleton East), Jenni Fassbender (Kaukauna), and Jackie Kocken (West DePere) along with former WVAers Chris Patterson (Kaukauna), Alex Judkins (Kaukauna), and Tyler Wills (Galena, IL).
The girls youth nation team featuring Fassbender and Kocken won the silver medal losing only in the finals to Team Florida in 4 hard fought sets. Fassbender was named the tournaments Best Attacker by coaches and Kocken contributed a ton to the team especially in the semi final match versus Chile. WVA co-dorector B.J. Bryant served as an assistant on the team which improved on their Bronze medal finish last year in Florida.
The boys international youth team with Harke and Mader finished 10th in the field and played some outstanding volleyball. Highlights of the tournament included wins over Oklahoma and Pennsylvania region teams and hard fought losses to the Aloha and Ohio regions. Mader will be continuing his volleyball career at NAIA Cardinal Stritch this upcoming year.
18s boys coach Mike Voigt served as an assistant coach with the boys national youth team which won the gold medal at the championships. Former WVA athletes Patterson and Judkins played large roles in the final match versus the Ohio Valley Region. WELL DONE!!

2010-2011 SEASON AROUND THE CORNER
It's hard to believe that preparation is already under way for the next club season. The board and directors are hard at work to make sure that things keep moving in the right direction for our club and members. There are a number of exciting items in the works that will surely make our club one of the most competitive in the area and become more prominent within the region. Keep your eyes and ears open for some of these releases as they are confirmed and finalized.
